Even pornstars get the blues. I’ve been dealing with some “issues” in my family–a multitude of issues, really–and it’s been taking its toll. I know that sometimes my life seems like nothing but triple-x sex and triple-glam lifestyle, but nobody can escape from “real life,” and that includes me.

One of my closest family members is just about to lose their house because they hit a rough patch financially and they missed a few mortgage payments. They called me last night as a last resort. I’ve lent them money in the past and they have always paid me back even if it takes a while. That’s not an issue–it’s just that I want so badly to help them get things straightened out so they don’t have to be living paycheck to paycheck anymore.

So I wrote them a check for $10,000 to cover all the expenses that they were behind on. I was happy to do it, they’re family, I love them. The big issue is that someone else in our family who they asked first said no. They honestly didn’t care whether or not they were forced out of their home–and this is someone who probably has more liquid assets than even I do. And they said no. It’s crazy to me.

This is someone who I have loved all my life, you know? Someone I have looked up to and even tried to emulate. For them to be so uncaring is just disgusting to me. To turn away from your own flesh and blood in their darkest hour is just sick. They call them fair weather friends–I guess you can have fair weather family too.

Issues, problems, drama–I may have a heavy sprinkling of glitz and glamour in my life, but I also have all the same problems that you guys deal with. Nobody’s special–don’t buy into that. That’s why I love writing here on the blog because it shows you that I’m real underneath all that bullshit.
